Glasgow Women's Library

 

I was a Board member of Glasgow Women's Library for 3 years, from 2014-2017, through one of the most dynamic periods of growth, development and consolidation for the organisation.

Glasgow Women's Library moved into their first dedicated building and permanent home, in the former Bridgeton Library on Landressy Street. The capital fundraising target was £1m and the organisation also applied for Creative Scotland RFO status which they were successful in gaining. 

As a result Glasgow Women's Library entered a period of unprecedented visibility which led to the rapid development of several new projects and partnerships, recruiting of new team members, and bids for Recognised Collection of National Significance status and Accredited Museum status, which were both achieved. The library's unique Women on the Shelf fundraising initiative and the development of new HerLand salon events, and
