The Publishing House of the Future
Collaboration, Creativity and Innovation
A pilot project by Electric Bookshop, Publishing Scotland and young publishing and digital creatives. Part of #TTSDigital
THE PROJECTS
An online showcase of the projects created in one weekend of collaboration, creativity and innovation. All projects were designed, planned and created by the Hack-Fest participants, aged 18-25, who worked together in teams to rapidly create prototypes of innovative new publishing formats.
Creatives in residence
Our Hack-fest was supported by creatives from a range of backgrounds including graphic novels, podcasting, programming, games writing and interactive storytelling, poetry publishing, spoken word, illustration and design.
What we did
Hack-Fest - a two day Hack-fest of publishing innovation to collaborate, took place at CodeBase, Edinburgh's tech incubator hub in July 2015.
We challenged young creative people from a variety of disciplines to work in teams, supported and inspired by a team of creatives in residence.
